South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation is a regional nonprofit economic development corporation with the mission of empowering entrepreneurs, strengthening local economies, and creating jobs by financing all types of small businesses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. With loan programs ranging from $1,000 micro loans to $5.5 million SBA 504 loans and a long history of assisting small business owners, SEED is a one-stop shop for anyone looking to start-up, grow, or streamline their business.

In addition to financing, SEED provides technical assistance to existing and prospective clients looking for guidance as they start-up or scale their businesses. Under this program, SEED offers monthly entrepreneurial workshops, and business plan templates. SEED is also able to connect business owners with local mentors, lenders, entrepreneurial education programs, and government officials who can provide further assistance. These services are all free.

I am the Lending Team Leader at SEED and have been fortunate to serve small businesses here for over two decades. I enjoy helping small businesses and the entrepreneurs who form these unique enterprises. I've used my gift for numbers to impact such varied operations as large manufacturers to single mental health care practioners from long-time family companies to brand new start-ups. I love family (especially my wonderful two granddaughters!), am active in different roles in my church, have a heart for Haiti, am decent at photography and have started to play golf in the last two years (so an amateur - lol). I hope that our paths will cross - either in support or encouragement of one another.
