Joseph F Zahner Jr, Title 5 Septic Inspection Service and Repairs is a family owned and operated business which started with our dad, Joseph Sr, who was on the state association in 1994 when the title 5 criteria was created and implemented. He then became general manager of Dick Shufelt Septic Maintenance for over 20 years as a family septic and excavation contractor. Since then, inspecting and repairing septic systems has been part of our mission whle highlighting environmental health to safeguard our customers one property at a time. 

Our inspection process is educational and transparent yet simple, while working with the local board of health until your project is completed. We have the 3rd generation learning and working towards new licensing and at JFZ T5, the goal is to inspect each septic system and leave the landscape as good or better than we found it. The service area is Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where private onsite wastewater systems are used and need inspection upon the transfer of the title to a new owner.
